Road Race USA Pro Cycling Championship 2010 Caption The 25th anniversary of the one day road race Pro Cycling Championship held in Greenville, South Carolina, featured 100 of the nation's elite pro racers on a 110 mile course through the streets of beautiful downtown Greenville and Paris Mountain. Defending champion George Hincapie finished 5th overall, loosing his Stars and Stripes jersey to 20 year old Ben King who led the field the entire race.

The races included five Olympic medalists including Oz Sanchez, member of the U.S. Paralympic Team and World Champion in 2010 racing in the U.S. Handcycling Series presented by the Roger C. Peace Rhabilitation Hospital and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

The 20.7 mile Professional Individual Time Trial Championships held the day before was won by Taylor Phinney.

Past winners include Olympic Speed Skating champion Eric heiden (1985), Lance Armstrong (1993), George Hincapie (2006, 2009) and Fred Rodriguez (200, 2001, 2004).

The Pro Cycling championship will return to Greenville for the next two years.
