The Indian Calvary~Big Cypress Shootout
We don't often think of Indians as having a calvary. In fact, they were among some of the greates horsemen in the world. These images show their skill and love of horses and the raw power and beauty of a horse in motion.
I have recently begun to shoot battle re-enactments.
I find these events to be inspiring and educational both from a historic and a photographic point of view.
The actors at these events are volunteers, often driving across the country to participate in the event because of a love of history or a personal connection.
I hope you will agree, it's almost like "You were There!"
All of these images are copyrighted and for sale. Please feel free to share them with friends and family through the SHARE button and the links provided. Please DO NOT copy screen shots, they are posted as screen resolution and will therefore not print adequately. They would make a nice gift for a collector, a historian or if you represent the sponsoring event itself, a nice thank you for the participants.
All re-enactors ordering from this site receive a 20% discount as a token of appreciation for your love of history, enthusiasm and craft.
